“I used to do wrestling. At 17, I started boxing, but very little… it was in a friend’s garage in the town, once a week. And I fell in love with the UFC,” Esteche recalled. “I saw the UFC Embedded and was amazed. I didn’t want to do MMA, but I watched them and was amazed and thought, ‘I want to be this someday, part of this, you know?’. In whatever sport, I didn’t care. Esteche acknowledged the challenges of pursuing combat sports in Spain, especially without professional status. Despite his full-time commitment to MMA, Esteche continues his studies in Finance and Management through distance learning, demonstrating his dedication to balancing his athletic career with his education.
