El Indio Solari’s Touching Tribute to Messi Revealed: A Shared Dream and a Message of Admiration

A poignant audio message from legendary Argentine rock musician Carlos “El Indio” Solari to global football superstar Lionel Messi has recently surfaced, revealing a profound mutual admiration and a shared aspiration for another World Cup victory. The message, recorded over a month ago but only shared publicly after Messi’s own tribute to Solari, highlights the deep connection between two of Argentina’s most revered cultural figures.

Solari’s Words of Admiration

The audio message begins with Solari, the iconic former frontman of Los Redondos, addressing Messi directly. “Lionel, compatriot, this is Indio speaking. I’m just one more person here who wants to greet you, wants to applaud you,” he begins, his voice carrying the weight of his artistic legacy. Solari, who has been living with Parkinson’s disease, expressed his admiration for Messi’s unparalleled talent on the football field. “You have been an Argentine sporting treasure. God and the Devil have given you unimaginable skill. I congratulate you, and you have given me very fun moments, and allowed me to enjoy some foreign friends too,” Solari stated.

A Shared Dream for the World Cup

Beyond personal congratulations, Solari also conveyed a powerful wish for Messi and the Argentine national team. In a postscript to his message, he asked, “What if you win another World Cup? You’re capable of it, old man. You’re capable of it.” This sentiment echoes the collective dream of a nation that continues to celebrate Messi’s achievements and hopes for further glory on the international stage. The message serves as a reminder of the unifying power of sport and music in Argentina, with both Solari and Messi being figures who inspire immense passion and devotion.

Messi’s Response

The revelation of Solari’s message came shortly after Messi himself paid tribute to the rock icon. Following Solari’s passing, Messi shared a photo of the musician during a concert on his Instagram stories, accompanied by the caption, “Always in our hearts.” This exchange underscores the deep respect and affection that exists between these two titans of Argentine culture. The timing of Messi’s tribute, coming amidst preparations for the upcoming World Cup, added an extra layer of emotional resonance to Solari’s message.

El Indio Solari, known for his poetic and often enigmatic lyrics, has been a voice for generations of Argentinians. His music has soundtracked the lives of millions, making him a figure of immense cultural significance. Similarly, Lionel Messi has transcended the sport of football to become a national hero and a global icon.
