League tables need official tiebreak context
Tables are more useful when standings, form and qualification lines are tied to the competition rules.

More than points
League tables are not just a list of points. Goal difference, head-to-head rules, matches played and form can change how a title race, qualification race or relegation fight should be read.
What the desk should add
Each table story should explain the consequence: who moved, who has games in hand, which tiebreak rule matters and what the next fixture can change.
Source rule
Official league and competition sources should be the first reference for standings and tiebreak rules.
