According to the Liverpool Echo, the 23-year-old Frenchman is a prime alternative for Liverpool should their pursuit of Yan Diomande falter, with Diomande appearing increasingly likely to join a Ligue 1 rival.

Barcola is reportedly open to a Premier League switch, having become frustrated with limited first-team opportunities in Paris. Arsenal has also expressed interest, though their current priority is believed to be Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers. PSG might be willing to sanction a sale if their substantial valuation of £130 million is met.

Wirtz Urged to Join Chelsea

Former Liverpool striker Fernando Morientes has advised German international Florian Wirtz to consider a move to Chelsea. Morientes believes Wirtz has not reached his full potential at his current club and could benefit from a change of scenery, particularly under the management of Xabi Alonso.

Morientes drew parallels to his own challenging spell at Liverpool in 2005, where he struggled to adapt before successfully reviving his career at Valencia. “I quickly realised that maybe that wasn’t the right place for me,” Morientes stated. “I needed to find my best version, and I needed the team and the coach around me to suit my style too. I decided pretty quickly that I had to go and play for Valencia, because I felt that environment suited my characteristics better. And I wasn’t wrong: I went to Valencia, started scoring again, felt comfortable, and even made it back into the national team.” The retired striker suggests Wirtz should explore an exit if a suitable offer arises.

Tottenham Blocks Moore’s Loan Move

Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly rejected a season-long loan offer from newly promoted Ipswich Town for teenage winger Mikey Moore. The North London club is understood to be unwilling to send the 18-year-old to a team they anticipate will be fighting relegation.

Despite this setback, Tottenham remains committed to finding a temporary move for Moore to further his development. Last season, Moore enjoyed a successful loan spell at Rangers, contributing seven goals and four assists in 47 appearances.
