Thousands of tickets are still available for the World Cup bronze medal match between England and France, according to reports. As of Friday morning, a substantial number of seats remain unsold for the third-place play-off scheduled to take place in Miami.

Ticket Availability

As of Friday at 10:00 BST, approximately 7,000 tickets were listed across FIFA’s official ticket sites for the match. This includes 1,246 tickets available on general sale, with prices ranging from $865 (£657) to $1,125 (£855).

An additional 5,864 tickets are accessible via the official resale platform. The cheapest of these are Category Three tickets, priced at face value of $455 (£346) plus FIFA’s 15% service fee. Interestingly, many tickets in higher-priced categories are currently listed well below their original purchase price. For instance, a Category One ticket, initially priced at $1,125 (£855), is being resold for $659 (£500), representing a significant discount.

World Cup Final Tickets

The World Cup final is also not entirely sold out. A limited number of 32 premium tickets are still available on general sale, with prices spanning from $29,995 (£22,796) to $32,970 (£25,057). These are standard tickets, not VIP packages.

On the resale site for the final, over a thousand tickets are available. Some are priced around face value plus the FIFA fee. The original cost for these tickets was $7,380 (£5,609), meaning a FIFA fee of $1,107 (£841) would be added. The most expensive resale ticket for the final is listed at an astonishing $2 million (£1.52 million), with an additional FIFA fee of $300,000 (£228,000). It is important to note that resale prices are set by individual users and do not necessarily reflect what buyers are actually paying.

Match Context

The third-place play-off, while often less sought after than the final, still garners significant attention, especially between two major footballing nations like England and France. The availability of tickets at varying price points suggests a potential opportunity for fans who may have missed out on earlier sales or are looking for more affordable options. The match is scheduled to kick off at 22:00 BST.
