Tragic Head-On Collision in Santa Fe Claims Four Lives

A severe head-on collision on Provincial Route 94 in Teodelina, Santa Fe, has led to the tragic deaths of four individuals. The accident occurred on Friday near the García Varela curve, close to the entrance of the town.

Among the deceased in the Toyota Hilux were local racing figure Patricio Galván (34), his father Gerardo (63), and an employee of the family, Ezequiel Antonio ‘Joni’ Kuzic (46).

The driver of the Chevrolet Prisma was identified as Hugo Sangiacomo, a retired firefighter and active member of the Villa Cañas Fire Department for 35 years. The institution noted his “commitment, vocation, and human quality left an indelible mark on all who shared his path.”

Personnel from the Teodelina Volunteer Firefighters and officers from the Comisaría 7° of Teodelina responded to the scene. The route was closed for several hours to allow for forensic examinations, and the area was subsequently handed over to the judicial authorities.

The remains of Hugo Sangiacomo were being lay in state at the Villa Cañas fire station on Saturday. A planned dinner dance organized by the fire department to celebrate Volunteer Firefighter’s Day (June 2nd) has been suspended due to the tragedy. Approximately 500 tickets had been sold for the event, intended to raise funds for the station’s infrastructure.
