Juventus are making moves in the summer transfer window, with reports suggesting the Turin club is preparing an initial offer for midfielder Franck Kessié and has identified USMNT striker Folarin Balogun as a significant target. This comes as Juventus’s new directors, Giovanni Carnevali and Frederic Massara, aim to provide coach Luciano Spalletti with further reinforcements.

So far, Juventus has only completed one signing this summer, bringing in Italian winger Jeff Ekhator from Genoa. The club is now looking to significantly bolster its squad to compete in Serie A and beyond.

Kessié, a former Milan and Atalanta player, has reportedly refused a contract extension with Al-Ahli and is open to a return to Serie A. However, negotiations for the 29-year-old are expected to be complicated by his agent’s demand for a signing bonus exceeding €5 million, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Balogun emerged as an option for Juventus as the club faces challenges in their pursuit of PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani. Juventus has been in prolonged negotiations with PSG for Kolo Muani, and have indicated they may withdraw from discussions if PSG does not lower their asking price.

The Bianconeri are also monitoring Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino. However, Balogun, currently at Monaco, is considered a strong alternative. The Athletic previously reported that Balogun is contemplating a summer departure from Monaco, with the French club setting an asking price of €50 million for the USMNT star, placing him in a similar price bracket to Kolo Muani.
